Dyslexia is a condition of neurodevelopmental origin that mainly affects the ease with which a person reads, writes, and spells, typically recognized as a specific learning disorder in children.
Special education is the practice of educating students in a way that accommodates their individual differences, disabilities, and special needs. This involves the individually planned and systematically monitored arrangement of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials, and accessible settings.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project is a special needs school in Kitengela for Dyslexia Rare gem. The school is a 3-story building on a 2-acre piece of land, and the building covers approximately 550M2 on the ground floor and upper floors. The school will have an outdoor sports arena that will be used by the students for extra curriculum activities.
Construction began in January 2022 and the anticipated completion period is in 2023. Currently, they’re installing the 2nd-floor slab using the beam and block precast slab solution. The contractor of the school project preferred beam and block due to the many advantages it comes with including the flexible payment plan and on-time delivery.
CLIENTS DILEMMA
The client wanted a slab solution that is durable, cost-effective, and easy to install considering the area of construction is a residential area. The client hoped for minimal disturbance to other residents.
SITE VISIT
We normally conduct site visits before and after the slab delivery. This is to ensure accurate production and installation of the beam and block slab. We also offer free installation training for your casual staff for a period of two days. This site in Kitengela was no exception as we made sure everything went on as it should.

Based on the client’s dilemma we provided a slab solution that allowed a flexible payment and delivery plan. Beam and block are produced out of site and delivered as a finished product ready for installation with no waste production.
