The Association is registered under the Societies Act as a link between professionals and stakeholders in the construction industry: Including policymakers, manufacturers, real estate developers, and financial institutions.

EcoConcrete is well established in the construction industry and works conjointly with architects and engineers. We complement their work by providing a precast, ready floor slab solution that is versatile adapting to different functions.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The architect’s chapter Golf tournament was organized by AAK and held on the 1st of April 2022 at Karen country club. The tournament happens annually as a revenue-generating activity that funds their other monthly outreach programmes  all year round. EcoConcrete was among the proud sponsors of this event, we were there to deconstruct misconceptions about our product and create more awareness in that target market. We interacted and showcased our product to different architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and construction managers. The number of inquiries kept increasing at an overwhelming rate, showing how intrigued people were by the suspended floor system.

CLIENTS DILEMMA

Majority of the clients who approached us wanted more information about the structural integrity of beam and block slab, Others needed to know how exactly the floor system works, the installation process, and how it helps save time and money. The system being contemporary people were rigid to what they are used to.

SOLUTIONS BY ECO CONCRETE

Considering the dilemma potential clients seemed to experience, our certified engineers explained in-depth the durability properties of the slab and its advantages. Using an elaborate demonstration structure of how the beams and blocks are installed, the clients had a visual image of the product.

A floor system that is precast reduces construction costs while maintaining the client’s expectations and quality of work. It is easy to install, requires minimum labour, no shuttering and reinforcement is required. The slab provides a ready working platform eliminating 21 days of curing. This conclusively answered and corrected misconceptions about the beam and block flooring solution.

CONCLUSION

The beam and block system is new in the construction market but gradually becoming a preferred alternative to builders in Kenya. With increased prices of steel and cement, consider a safer and more versatile alternative that will save you time and money.
